Now you can play these vintage GameCube / Nintendo games with the original GameCube controllers! Don't forget to acquire a GameCube controller adapter for your Wii U, Nintendo Switch, or PC!
Are you a die-hard GameCube or Nintendo fan? I'm guessing that the majority of players all across the world have played Nintendo games at some point. Many popular games from the GameCube have been ported to other Nintendo platforms and have become "legends" in long-running Nintendo franchises. Classic games include Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, and Super Smash Bros., for example. Let's get started right away!
You may not be aware, however, that there is another "tale" concerning the GameCube (or more accurately, about its controllers). Many players consider the GameCube controller to be "A Legend," particularly in melee games such as Super Smash Bros. The reasons are simple: it has low latency, a mashable A button, and a flickable C-Stick that aids in rapid movement.
It makes no difference that the Nintendo GameCube is now nearly 15 years old. On other Nintendo systems, such as the Nintendo Switch, we can still play games with the GameCube controller. We'll go through three must-play titles in this article, all of which perform far better when played with a GameCube controller.
1. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is an action-adventure video game for the GameCube home video game platform. This game takes place on a bunch of islands in the middle of a wide sea, including some islands. The player takes control of Link, the main character, as he tries to save his sister from Ganon, the evil boss character.
The main character Link has a few companions who help him along the way, including pirate captain Tetra and the King of Red Lions, a talking boat. To destroy Ganon, Link voyages the seas, explores islands, and enters dungeons in search of the enigmatic power. Switching the game's scenery from an endless green forest to an endless blue ocean, as well as the mode of transportation from horses to boats, demonstrated that GameCube games will never let anyone down.
2. Resident Evil 4
The action and scares in Resident Evil 4 keep coming at a fast pace, keeping the players' hearts racing. Players take control of US government special agent Leon S. Kennedy, who is dispatched on a mission to save the US president's daughter from a cult. Players must battle swarms of infested towns infected with a mind-controlling parasite.
This game won numerous Game of the Year awards and was hailed as a smash hit that affected the survival horror and shooter genres' progression. Capcom (the firm that created the Resident Evil franchise) has revealed that Resident Evil 4 will be released on Nintendo's system in 2019. Keep an eye out for updates and make sure you have your GameCube controller Adapter handy!
3. Super Smash Bros Ultimate
Nintendo released the latest hot game, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, on December 7, 2018. Fighters from all genres have met to fight for the first time in 20 years! New characters and stages have been added to the legacy cast. In the ultimate brawl, 76 gaming legends collide in a game you can play anytime, anyplace!
New characters Simon Belmont and King K. Rool join Inkling, Ridley, and every other fighter in Super Smash Bros. history to smash competitors off the stages. New stages modeled on the Castlevania series, Super Mario Odyssey, and more offer improved speed and combat. There are around 100 stages in total, including Battlefield and Final Destination variants of each. Prepare to have a blast with your pals today!
